The first dawning of real discipline comes through work. At a given moment it happens that a child becomes keenly interested in a piece of work, showing it by the expression of his face, by his intense attention, by his perseverance in the same exercise. That child has set foot upon the road leading to discipline.

About Me

I grew up in a Montessori community and, as an adult, I have worked to deepen my understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice.

I have AMI training for ages 0-3, 3-6, 6-12, and 12-18. I also have additional Montessori training at the 3-6 and 6-12 levels.

How I Work

As a Montessori child, I feel like I learned the satisfaction of working hard to then be able to work harder.

I love to enter into new activities, move toward mastery, and learn from my mistakes. Authenticity, feedback, transparency, and perseverance are essential components of my work.

My Ethos

What I do, I do completely. I love to learn. I love to work hard. I love to find a sense of flow.

Sharing meaningful ideas brings me an incredible amount of joy and I'm always ready to recommend a good podcast, book, website, or tidbit with those in my near and far circles.
